KS Precast Engineering was responsible for the structural design of this twin cell three-sided culvert under a major road in the city of Mississauga. The culverts have clear spans of 6 meters and 7.5 meters. The design was performed in accordance with the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC). This design accounted for a large cast-in-place retaining wall on top of the culvert and various pipe openings in culvert walls. Included as part of the design were cast-in-place concrete closure strips and steel connection plates. KS Precast Engineering also offered technical assistance and reporting during construction.
